Overall pleasant experience Definitely needs some updates in the room. Paint is chipping, baseboards need an update and carpet is coming off. Super location. Right in the middle of Carmel by the sea. Walking distance to beach and restaurants.

Excellent location, but a little noisy. A little to pricey for a motel and also a little noisy: you could hear pretty much everything from the street. Good location -walking distance to the beach. Good idea the breakfast in a basket.
Carmel Clarion Collection I cannot find anything I didn't like about the property. The property had helpful and friendly staff. The cleaning crew was excellent.
great staff The room was smaller than expected and a little bit old looking. The location was great. The receptionist was helpful and welcoming. They put a continental breakfast basket with a newspaper at the door at 8 in the morning. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The room has a fridge and a coffee maker, TV, iron and hairdryer. They have free parking.
Choose another hotel. There was an error in our reservation, not sure if it was the hotel or Booking.com. We had 3 rooms, one had clearly not been cleaned well. One room appeared to have bedbugs or something. My daughter got numerous bites. It was pointed out to hotel and Booking but was not resolved. It was inexpensive, that was the best part. Staff were very nice and the location could not be beat. It was inexpensive.

Good We didn't care for the room décor. It has a yellow plaster on the walls that is dated and made the room feel old. Someone with a slight case of OCD like myself was scared to look behind bed at head wall and base. The carpet needs to go and felt gross to walk on. Holes at wall where outlet was.
