So I'm not very happy with CG Animal Hospital today. We have a voucher from the City of CG to get our mini schnauzer neutered for free and were told to take him there today. We knew he had one undescended testicle and were prepared to pay the difference. We were told to go a few days before to fill out paperwork and let them know the situation. I called in prior to bringing in my dog for an allergic reaction/insect bite/reptile bite. I was told that they werent busy, that there was only 1 person ahead of us so the wait would not be long. I get there and find out that due to an immense amount of walk ins there would be a 3 hour wait. They dont have enough licensed staff. It was the other girl were tbe excuses. I’ve never waited so long for a Vet appt EVER and we’re from Chicago! I had to call for my pet’s results 😞 and then one of the vets seem so incompetent he could barely explain the results. When I asked about the other test, he hesitated and said, “I’m looking”. Then he said, “I don’t see them, THOSE must not be back yet”. I told him I wasn’t happy with their care and how they handle things and told him to have someone call me with THOSE results tomorrow. Well here I am, TOMORROW and I’m still waiting. This place would'nt even give our dog an x-ray. They probably were too lazy to help pick her up & put her on the x-ray table. They claimed that she was too overweight for an x-ray to show anything - BAH HUMBUG! We went to St. Marks in Casa Grande, AZ. to get the x-ray. Also, they prescribe meds for pets before knowing the actual diagnosis. Overall dissatisfied with this place & won't bring our pet/s here again.
WAY over 20 years of loyal usage and plenty of patiently waiting for them to treat an emergency that would be bumped up in front of my dogs and my needs and the reward on that .. is for them to not even bother with a 15 min check up after my mini weenie was attacked by a boxer .. instead told my only recourse is to drive up to BFE Gilbert to see whomever and wait for however long there. 1. Jan 27,2017 I took my 15 year old Lhaso apso for rabies shot and wellness check. I was please with the discussion I had with Dr Carlson. I also got Metacam to see how it would effect perceived pain and stiffness in his rear end. Paid $90 cash and was told I could return the following week and get heartgard which I did not have enough money to pay for at the time. 2. Returned Feb 8, 2017 and talked with the receptionist.
