It turned out well.
Called to get a quote and scheduled an appointment. Technician arrived promptly and installed a circuit breaker and new outlet for a sump pump and an additional outlet elsewhere. Technician was knowledgeable and professional. There was some confusion about the Angie's List discount, which the technician was not aware of. However, after calling the company, CET, someone in the office was able to apply the discount and rectify the situation.
Very good experience, would use again, and would recommend. Not a big job but they were responsive, on time (despite the forecasted "snowstorm), and quick. The only improvement could have been better cleanup in the garage.
When we purchased the house, the inspector revealed that there were some ungrounded outlets in the house (all of them were three-pronged). It was something I had put off for awhile, until I read about the dangers of having ungrounded outlets. I tried to fix it myself, but couldn't figure out why some of the outlets (seemingly on a different circuit, per the circuit box) weren't grounded and others were. The technician arrived on time and was pleasant and thorough throughout the visit. All requested jobs were completed.
Overall it went well. The tech was competent but not customer friendly. He terminated the initial visit early (before the work was complete) and told us we would lose the rest of the time we had purchased on the deal. (We would have lost $90 because he had additional jobs scheduled elsewhere even though we had fully described the work that was needed before he arrived. The installation was conducted professionally. It did require some time to schedule an appointment. Once that was settled, the process proceded smoothly. The installer arrived during the appointed timeframe. The work was completed within two hours. The installed ceiling fan worked well and I had no problems with the fan following installation.
Very well. A tricky installation in an old house that required some creativity and perseverance.
