Great steak! Best front-of-house staff in San Antonio. Very skilled waitstaff - host staff was unremarkable and sat us at a bad table even when we had a reservation. Although very expensive, I would go back and just not order wine or dessert to cut down on the cost because this was the best steak I’ve had in years and we were treated so well.
This is one of our favorite places to have dinner for anniversaries and birthdays as such. The service is impeccable. The food is outstanding. The salad bar is great. The meat is great.
Great food and service. Some of the food has some burned bits on the ends (because of how they cook it) that can ruin the entire bite if you don't cut it off first. Gotta try the lemonade!
Actually, I recommend CG to a lot of people. The service is always amazing. The staff is incredibly attentive. They spend a moment with you upfront to get an understanding of what you like and they always meet our desires. I ask for a specific cut of meat and I get it. The guy actually serving the meat is the person who cooked it - its pretty cool that your server is ALSO your cook. Every time we've gone for a birthday celebration they have given us a free dessert. Fantastic experience! The service is like no other. When given the option around the city to choose a Brazilian Steakhouse, we go Chama Gaucha, hands down. The staff is always more attentive and friendlier here than at the restaurants downtown. Excellent food, great drinks. We will definitely keep coming back.
