Table for 8? Great! Have previously dined with larger groups at Charbono's and have always had good food and good service, but on Friday 3/20, we were entertaining 3 other couples (and a baby!) --and we were SO pleased! I love this local chain and was happy to recommend the applewood chicken salad and other dishes that reflect Indiana. We were seated near the kitchen, but ambience was still good and our server was EXCEPTIONAL, giving just the right amount of attention without hovering. We are grateful to her.
Food not up to usual standards We had 8 entrees and two were the chicken parmesan, which could have been chicken or pork or something else, as it had very little flavor. Also the marinara sauce was dry. I believe the dish was over cooked. Also, one entree was a cheese pizza, which was barely warm enough to eat when served. The other entrees were fine, according to the ones eating them.
charbonos is an excellent restaurant if you are looking for a wide range of meals. The daily specials are innovative and tasty. We are regulars at the restaurant and the staff is very friendly. The Applewood Chicken Salad is one of our favorite entrees. The pizza is excellent. We enjoy the friendliness of the restaurant.

Yummy food and decent for familes We enjoyed a nice afternoon meal. The food was excellent and everyone left happy. Our server had an English accent and was very good.
Consistently good We always like Charbonos. We've never had a bad meal. This night was not one of the best dining experiences, but that was only bc it was the Friday night before Valentine's Day (the next day). We had a reservation but still had to wait quite a while, il and it was very crowded. We were seated at a tiny makeshift table squeezed in by the servers' station. A rickety table started out the night Had a Valentine's Day reservation and had an acceptable wait for a table. Initially, we were seated in a corner by the busing station, at an unacceptable, rickety, small table, so we asked to be moved . We were seated at another table in about ten minutes, without question. The service and food was great, and we did not have to wait long for our appetizers or meal. Local Gem Love Charbonos. Great food, warm atmosphere and excellent service tucked in the middle of or everyday space. We consider it "our place"!
