Lively place with good food. Will be back!
Initially I was not thrilled with the hostess seating us "ON FULL DISPLAY" in the middle of the bar area. That feeling faded as "SAM" took VERY good care of us, appetizer (Ahi for two) and entrees (Shrimp w/grits and Cajun Salmon Salad) were OUTSTANDING and we were able to "tune out" the drone of noise surrounding us.
We had a birthday celebration for my elderly father Sunday - which included 3 little ones. They were well behaved, but our waiter was so kind to them, in addition to taking care of us all. Can't thank him enough. Dad enjoyed the celebration - and his FOOD greatly. Thanks Charbonos!
The food was good and served hot. The service was slow and we had to ask for refills every time. The server seemed new and a large group seemed to overwhelm her.
Busy on Friday night as most Indy resturants are but the food and service was very good.
We had a good of 10 woman and the server took such good care of us. The timing of the food was great, service was great and the food was served hot.
We've been here a couple of times now. Loved our crab cake appetizer! Bread with special olive oil concoction is very tasty. Salad was delicious. Pasta and seafood dishes were a big hit, as well as the dessert. This time we chose linguini pasta with seafood ...delish! The other was mahi mahi with coconut rice, also wonderful! We went on a busy weekend night, and the staff was courteous and attentive. We noticed that it seems to be a place where families and friends like to get together. We will be back again and again!
Charbonos seems to have consistently good steaks that are very comparable to the high end steak houses without the high end price. I've enjoyed both filets and strips that are always a pleasant surprise on first bite. Definitely worth the trip to Avon.
Charbonos is consistent. The specials are always outstanding. Yes, it is pricey but to KNOW it will be excellent makes the experience valuable. Chicken marsala was delicious. Pizza always wonderful (although strangely not piping hot this time). Shrimp cocktail wonderful.
