Go for the food, but beware of the noise. It was hard to hear my companion’s conversation. Service was good and the wine list is long.
A bit off this time...One of the reasons we love Charbonos is that they do the simple things right...like a simple chicken sandwich is normally great because it is so perfectly cooked. This time quite dry and tough...won't have that again. And the salad, well a bit "wet." An off day apparently.

The food was very good. We had the calamari appetizer, which was lightly coated with a very good sauce. Hubby had the scallops, which he said were very good. I had the caribbean mahi mahi, one of their lower calorie offerings and it did not taste like a low cal option at all. Had a nice coconut/rum sauce on it. Our server was a nice gal named Jamie - very personable service. We will be returning.
We had a wonderful experience at Charbonos. We wanted a private dinner with several out of town family members, so they put us in the back room were we could walk around and talk and not bother the other people in the restaurant. We took our time and had a wonderful dinner and great service. Thanks so much.
I have wrote reviews about Charbonos before, if you live in Avon or anywhere close by, and you have not tried this little gem it is one you need to put on your list. There are so many choices of places to eat in Avon, and the surrounding Indianapolis area, and this is one always on the top of our list. We have ate here numerous times, and the food is always excellent, and the service outstanding.
