The place is kept clean for the most part, but my loved ones room could have been cleaner. The staff were usually friendly and helpful.The care staff, did the best they could with my loved one despite being understaffed. (A common issue these days). I understand they were working on hiring another nurse, which will help. The food was hit or miss. I thought Cedarhurst of Madison was very very nice. There was a receptionist right when you walk in (not all places have that). The person who gave us the tour was well known and friendly with all of the residents. And she gave me a lot of hints and tips, even though my mother couldn’t go there due to her condition.

I toured this community and it was nice, clean, and everyone was friendly. It was fairly economical, compared to others in the area. They only had a Studio available and the bedroom area in the studio just seemed too small.

My husband was there last November/December. The nurse was very uncooperative (even nasty) about my being there for his Hospice care. She said he didn't want me there and that I was coercing him. That was not true. As a result , I wasn't there when he passed! That was horrendous for me. I haven't reported this yet, since I've been in a very deep depression since this happened. He passed on [date removed].
