We have always had decent care, but when we have taken our pets there for 15 years and we call to try to get an appointment as an emergency since our puppy who is 7 months has not eaten for 2 and a half days and I was told that they could not get him in for over a week. I have been a loyal customer for well over 10 years until today new ownership change of plans no longer good country vet now a financial institution wanted to rip me off for $40 to bring my dog in for anti-inflammation pills which they have given him before. Sad but Dr Baker sure will be missed at that institution last place I visit. Whatever happened to caring about the dogs ? I’m more sad than mad

I've been using this vet's office for almost 20 years. They stopped carrying my dogs medication she's been on for over 10 years. I purchased several strengths of the medication they replaced it with and it got to the point my poor senior dog couldn't even stand up on her own. A friend of mine had some of her old medication that she didn't need. I gave it to my dog and within a couple days she not only was using her leg but was full blown running from one side of the yard to the other with no problem. I called and told them t... read more
I would give this 0 or negative stars if I could. Save your pets life and don't go here. young uneducated staff that doesn't know what they are doing and pretty much killed my 6 year old dog. It has gone downhill since Dr. Baker left. Also the staff is extremely rude. I will never come back here every again.
We had been taking our animals to chesterfield animal hospital for several years. The last time we took our babies in for a check up the male doctor really didn't give them one. He didn't voluntarily check their ears, eyes, he didn't suggest a blood test, urine test, or anything. They had one good quality which was they allowed us to come in and buy antibiotics, rimadyl, and eye and ear medicine as we needed it. While my fur baby was alive I loved this clinic. We moved to Indianapolis and I continued to drive here for treatment. However, the day we had for the hardest appointment of our lives...we had to wait 20 minutes in the parking lot. The doc- tall skinny man with glasses- had NO sympathy and was VERY cold. Gave us NO time afterwards to get ourselves together. Re-think how and who handles these appointments.
