Downers Grove Office!! The day of the procedure we were informed the insurance will cover the wisdom tooth extraction. Girl up from confirmed it. Ok let's go, it's confirmed. I also gave 500 deductible for the procedure. Bill comes in, not covered! Girl up front fired! Constant battles with BCBS and Margie! She is a rude and nasty person. Be very careful when dealing with this organization as it relates to fees. Make sure you get a complete write up of what is covered by insurance well in advance of contracting with them. They stated the surgery was covered under insurance but would have to put 30% down. This 30% didn't come close to covering my complete charges since they claim a significant portion of the overall procedure wasn't being covered by insurance; after the fact. had unpleasant experience with this office. i feel that I was lied to regarding the cost. My son had extraction of baby teeth and they verified the insurance, and they said it would be covered but I ahd to pay 30% down. They never submitte it to my insurance and start sending me the bills. After six months I am still trying to resolve it. in meantime they are charging you 18% interest. The bill was $2500 for extraction of baby teeth...I don't recommand this palce because they are not transparant with their patients/customers... read more
Due to COVID 19 most offices are closed or not excepting patients. So I was ecstatic when I found out they were. Boom, schedule consultation I get in the office and they tell me my driver has to wait in the car. No problem because of social distancing, however another lady walked in and had her driver with and they said nothing (I hate to take it to race but I'm black). BEWARE!!!!!!!! I went in for 1 wisdom tooth extraction. I have exceptional medical and dental insurance. The front desk scanned my insurance cards and I proceeded to see the doctor for my consultation. I came to the office with a panoramic x-ray from my regular dentist and they insisted I have another one done. Surprise! The doctor went into all kinds of work I should have done. My son had an appointment at 11:15 it's now 11:55 and he has not been seen, not even been taken back to a room. Terrible way to run any office, no acknowledgement of the issue, no apology nothing. Makes me very weary of scheduling an appointment here. If you'd like to be seen on time DO NOT COME HERE! By the way this was a consult should have been in and out. Ridiculous
Dr. Guyer was cocky and rude. Brought my 11 year old daughter to have a tooth pulled. All he needed to do was numb the area and pull the baby tooth. He would not let me stay in the room. Crossing his arms across his chest he said 'I don't know what your hang up is.' We left with my daughter in tears.
Well I called to verify credit went through on my cc and sure enough it did not, she keyed cc in wrong. Joliet worker told me she could not process it again because she closed the terminal down for day & was closing for the day. She told me she would run it first thing in the am and call me. 3:30pm I hear nothing so I call and get a friendly lady who said " oh yeah she left that for me to do I am so glad you called to remind me". The only reason they get even 1 star is because I didn't get an infection after surgery. My procedure was done in Plainfield. I paid the estimated amount they required on the day of surgery - March 1, 2017. I knew they were requiring that I pay too much because my HMO co-pays are clearly spelled out. Today is September 4, 2017 and I am still waiting on a refund. They claim to have mailed it to me on July 28th, but I never received it.
