I grew up in Boston my whole life, am in my 20s and have never really seen Boston from the harbor. This was an amazing time, great crew, serve beer and wine so bring some cash because they prefer it, and get in line early (15 min) so you can pick where you want to sit. People move around a lot on the boat so you can get up and go sit up front for a bit if there is room. The crew is really knowledgeable about Boston and all the buildings you can see from the water so ask as many questions as you like. Overall it is a much mor... read more

We did the Schooner Adirondack III on a Saturday afternoon as the kickoff to my friend's Bachelorette Party. We had GORGEOUS weather and the crew was very friendly & helpful. The man at the check-in counter was VERY patient with us, as 3 of our friends were running late. I didn't pay TOO much attention to the gorgeous views, as we were busy chatting, eating (you can bring your own food) and partaking in the $5 Prosecco (although the first round was flat). For $5, you get a very generous poor - much larger than expected. Over... read more

This was for the Boston Harbor Islands cruise on the Yacht Beacon. I want to first of say that the Captain and Crew were very nice, and very friendly and hospitable. That being said, we were a little disappointed by this cruise. There are many different harbor cruises offered in Boston. This one claims to focus on the Harbor Islands, which is why we chose it. One goes on such a cruise for the photo ops. Particularly, in our case, the lighthouses. Well, on a constantly moving boat, in choppy waters, it's virtually impossible ... read more

Went on the Adirondack III. I expected a tour of the significant landmarks of Boston (a city surrounded by water) but instead this is merely a trip out to the harbor near the airport (with jets roaring and the smell of jet fuel and fish) and a U-Turn back to the docks. You don't get to see any significant landmarks in the harbor up close or significant landmarks in Boston. Take a Duck Tour if you want that. Don't get me wrong: the boat ride alone in a harbor during nice weather is nice (minus and jet fuel and fish smell) if ... read more

This was a lot of fun. We had a GREAT time on the 3 hour tour (Not on the Minnow). It was a perfect day for a sail on the schooner Adirondack III and the Captain was terrific and full of information about the Boston Harbor. The crew was excellent manning the sailing duties while still catering to the passengers. OK, the picnic was a box lunch but the turkey sandwich I had was very tasty and all the extras like an apple were quite good. We highly recommend this excursion and I'm sure we will go back. The only problem we had w... read more

on a whim I bought tickets to the Yacht Beacon Charles River Locks cruise (departs from Rowes Wharf at 8:45 pm after the sunset cruise) - I'm so glad I did! it was amazing to see the city from the water and boat under the Zakim Bridge at night! 2 hours never went by so quickly and the boat was comfortable and the ride smooth. we sat out on the back open deck (the stern - so the nautical folks don't get mad at me) and they provided blankets in case we got chilly as well as free soda and water - cash bar available for beer and... read more

This was such a nice experience. After living in Boston for a few months it was nice to finally get out on the harbor for a beautiful sunset cruise. My boyfriend booked this through groupon which offered an amazing deal. The captain and staff were courteous, funny and knowledgeable. The weather was great, we enjoyed a few beers and got a new view of the awesome city we live in. I recommend bringing snacks (we didn't) to enjoy with your drinks. I can't wait to take friends and family back out on the Adirondack III when they v... read more

Really great experience-I would definitely recommend going! The cruise is peaceful and relaxing and allows you to see Boston without all the hustle and bustle. The crew is friendly and knowledgeable, but not overbearing. I really liked that they didn't narrate the entire cruise. Instead, they answered passengers questions as they came.

My boyfriend and I went on the Schooner Adirondack III day sail and really enjoyed it despite it being a bit chilly that day. The captain and other crew members were very friendly and would explain what we were seeing while sailing around the harbor area. There is also free water and soda, and alcoholic beverages for $5 if you are interested. You're allowed to bring your own food on board and they even supplied blankets since it was a bit cold when we went. We really enjoyed the views and he experience of sailing, since we d... read more
