underwent a lot of changes in managment but old building and if on the top floor the humidity is terrible in the summer and the one a/c unit doesn't cut it in a one-bedroom, since it doesn't reach the other room, especially the stairwells. cheapest apartment complex in the area but not as nice. improvements are being made so getting better, but old building and the rent price in the area...
These apartments are awful. The caretakers do not care about the tenants. The train was a breeze compared to the fighting going on in the apartments at all hours of the night. If you like loud music and partying 24/7 - you will be just fine. Also, if you are single woman - beware! The hallways are unsanitary to say the least. Ok, so the lot/grounds are poorly lit, walls are cardboard, and the occasional drug deal went on outside my door. That I can deal with. But there is a provision at the bottom of the lease allowing them to ARBITRARILY keep $100-200 of your security deposit as a "restoration fee" even if you leave the apartment IMMACULATE. Total crap.
Basically, no one should live here. There are about a billion apartments in the Twins Cities area, and no reason to choose this one. The price here is cheap for a reason. Good for college students who don't have a lot of money for rent, but it is noisy, train tracks across the street, very poor maintenence and is smelly. The damage deposit is kinda high as well. Because the apartments are kinda cheap, it's a little ghetto here. I highly suggest finding somewhere elce.
