We have never been given a menu, for the food. They need to have an administration, with integrity and that does not lie. There needs to be answered questions when your loved ones have questions. The residents are left in clothing for weeks and they smell. They are not being helped, they don't take care of grooming habits, and their teeth are not brushed. We take every review of our community seriously. Our food menus are done weekly and posted in each of the cottages. Alternatively, copies are available at the front desk. Our culinary team takes diet needs and nutritional intake for dementia-diagnosed residents as well as resident preferences into consideration when planning menus. Communication with staff is poor. Felt like I was bothering the staff when I was asking about my mother. Lots of misinformation about the virus. Glad she's not there anymore.

Our mom was at Pacifica Peoria for 9 months, during that time she had 4 ambulance calls, 2 were due to head injuries requiring stitches. We also had 3 other calls for non ambulance injuries. The staff could not explain how any of the injuries happened and no staff ever admitted to seeing the accident. We met with the ED and nursing director many times to voice our concerns with mom's care but no changes were noticed. Recommend another memory care facility. Saw a number of communicative and vibrant residents move into this community and decline within a short amount of time. I think that Pacifica Senior Living is an exception place for the type of residents there. The only thing they could improve on is the communication with the family with things that are needed for the resident.
