Sometimes it is good to revisit a well-known but out-of-the way restaurant that holds fond memories just to see if they maintain the pleasure you remember. We always enjoy the home cooked meals. Service on the 1st visit about 7:00PM on Sunday night was slow and order was messed up. 2nd visit on Wednesday night about 6:00 PM was right on target.
Service was quick and friendly for our large party of people. Food was generic Cracker Barrel food, adequate but not extraordinary.
For a chain restaurant the food is average. Nothing wrong with it, but something is lacking in presentation. Perhaps we got chef on an off day. Restaurant itself, clean, staff friendly and of the course the shop as always so much to see. Try and visit a Cracker Barrel when in USA and will continue to do so.
Cracker Barrel is still a great place to eat and the food is tasty except if you are lactose intolerant and are trying to refrain from too much sugar. I wanted Oatmeal and the couldn't provide me Oatmeal not made with milk. On top of that, I didn't get all of my food. I'm sure it was an off day.
Delicious home style food at an economical price. Breakfast is served all day. I recommend giving the lunch specials a try.
Cracker Barrel is as consistent with food as McDonald's, only Cracker Barrel is much, much better.
