Long time I have been a fan of Cracker Barrel, always great quality and portion size. 👍😋 But after COVID-19, they started providing poor service. 🥲 Portions are like from a kid's menu. The taste is poor as well. 😮💨
***Update*** Management has reached out to apologize. We waited over an hour for our food after ordering. Our drink orders were initially taken fairly quickly, and then we waited over 15 minutes for someone to take our food orders. We eventually flagged down someone, that wasn't our waitress, who took our order. We then waited over an hour for food. There was initially a line to be seated; so, we knew who was seated before us. There is a reason why out of over 3,000 reviews this is rated a 3.9. I don’t know if it’s a lack of work ethic, a lack of training, or a lack of caring that makes this service WAY below par. I hate leaving bad reviews but I also hate people wasting their hard earned money on unmet AVERAGE expectations. Besides missing multiple pieces of food with our orders, and dirty utensils, I feel like one of two things. We stopped at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store along I 10 in Lafayette, while driving to New Orleans. The old world charm is still there. The store has lots of souvenirs, clothes, candles, snacks etc. the food in country style restaurant was quite good. Service was friendly and prompt. Prices were reasonable and actually comparable to fast food restaurants! We enjoyed the place.
Yes, this is a Cracker Barrel restaurant. Don't be confused by the Cracker Barrel Convenience Store nearby. I made it early enough that they were still open so yes, I finally got that dinner after staying in a dozen Cracker Barrel parking lots overnight and not eating. Yes, Cracker Barrel tolerates RVers in their lot overnight and they would like us to, but don't require, purchase a meal.
