Quick to be seated, fairly quick to get order placed. Went down hill in service from there. It would be one thing if it were busy, but I don't think there were 10 tables full. I saw my waitress 3 time and had to ask the hostess for napkins halfway through the meal when she was passing by. They are called servers for a reason. Ask server to bring cornbread before chicken and dumplings, after 10 minutes I asked her again, she said 15 minutes. Not what would be in 15 minutes but 15 minutes. After asking again I found out that the cornbread was in the oven and wouldn't be done for 15 minutes. Next she brought both of our lunches, which I asked her to please take back and keep warm because I wanted the rolls first. It was later in the evening, we'd been on the road and I wanted breakfast. This was also convenient to our hotel. I kept it beyond simple with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and bacon. The service was excellent and the food perfect for 8:30 in the evening. Enjoy!
Stopped here while traveling through and decided to grab a table at Cracker Barrel as we all LOVE the food. This was probably the worst dining experience I’ve had at any of the franchises I’ve visited. The food came out room temperature. Two of the three meals came out completely wrong and not at all what we ordered. By the time our waitress came back it had been about 20-30 minutes and we got tired of waiting to flag down our waitress to ask for what we ordered. Waited 30 minutes for food to arrive on an empty night. Waitress apologized several times for the kitchen. Pancakes arrived cold, hard and burned. She noticed immediately the food poor quality and gave us a full refund.
