Can't do a road trip without Cracker Barrel Sure it's a chain, and no bargains in the gift shop, but no road trip is complete without stopping at Cracker Barrel! Food is decent, love those country vegetables, and service is excellent. This particular location had the friendliest staff ever, even an hour before closing time.
Breakfast This place has the best breakfast around. The food is good and the service is friendly. I recommend asking for the apple butter. It is an acquired taste, but yum. Breakfast is great and the price is right. They serve other things, but breakfast is king.
Not worth the wait I love Cracker Barrel, but had to wait one hour for the table when they told us there was a half an hour wait. If there is a wait don't bother.

Always good We stop at Cracker Barrel whenever we travel because we can count on good, quality meals with consistent good service. This was right across from our hotel so we had dinner then a good night's sleep at the Marriott.
