We went here around 10:15pm and they close at 11:00pm which made it more likely the food not being that good. I went here to celebrate my Dad's (who has passed) birthday but was sad in the quality of the food. The country fried steak felt and tasted more like a frozen steak patty and the coleslaw tasted old. Sadly, they didn't have fried okra anymore on their menu.
Food was great! And Calleigh was very kind and helpful. We got there at 6 and were told at the table when we were about to order that they closed at 7 for a Christmas party. I think back on it now and we should’ve just left to go to another restaurant to save them the headache and trouble. Hadn't been to a Cracker Barrel for quite a while so that I felt like eating their breakfast again. I was therefore eager to give this location on 290 a first try and felt very blessed I ate there. I ordered The CB's Country Boy Breakfast and was surprised how much food was there for this affordable breakfast choice. The kitchen was busy and yet my food came out reasonably fast. Food was great, service was so good. The retail part of the store is a bit overwhelming, I had an autistic 5 yr old who was running around. As stressful as it was, an employee helped me out and was so so genuinely nice and caring. I don’t like going to many places bc it gets chaotic but I can honestly say I will come back again bc of her hospitality. I didn’t get her name, she was a younger black woman I think she had glasses. Anyways thank you so much for making us feel welcomed.
I love my local Cracker Barrel. They hire great people and are consistent on the products, well when the morons above aren't manipulating the menu that is. Been going here for years for breakfast, daily specials and sometimes just a random craving as tonight was Grandma's sampler for the Mrs and the Tuesday special of pork chops for myself, excellent choices.
