Great service, and dang good food! Pictures here is the Steak 🥩 and eggs 🍳 + Loaded Hash browns + Pancakes 🥞 + Mac ‘n Cheese 🧀 + and the Grandmas plate (scrambled eggs + cheese, loaded hash browns and sugar ham / bacon 🥓/ sausage. Everything was great, per usual.
I was really surprised...but not in a good way. I've eaten at Cracker Barrel at several other locations all through the US, and the food here was lacking freshness. The ranch is bottled, and it tastes it. In fact, none of the salad dressings are freshly made. Every last one of them tasted like they had sugar in them. The salad was chock full of brown lettuce, mealy mushy tomatoes. It was so bad I had to ask them to take it away without eating any of it. Food is pretty good when they're doing it right. Got an order of fried okra with the meal and the okra was old and cold. Sent it back. Shouldn't have tried to serve it to begin with.
The gift shop at the entrance grabs us every time. Christmas ornaments were on sale, and we grabbed a few beautiful pieces. The food is always like homemade, but tonight's service was definitely not great! Appetizers never came, drinks wrong, and food was delayed. At the time of paying,only 1 cashier, which made that process run extra slow. It was definitely not the best service experience. They were super busy when we went and we were seated in less than 30 minutes. Our waitress was great and the check out lady was so helpful packing up the items we bought at the store. We will definitely be back.
