The biggest waste of time I ever experienced. Dont waste your time,, don't even think about it.. Just earlier today, I and my family walked into the store, the gift shop was really neat, but extremely condensed, overpriced, and packed. We tried to go get some food, and we were seated genuinely quickly. There weren't many people in the place. Cracker barrel has changed up their menu some. It was nice to see new options, but I was disappointed that some of our favorite dishes seemed to be different. Our overall experience at the location was good. We were able to be seated right away. Our server was nice and professional.
I had the Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. The steak was good but the potatoes were cold and had a weird taste to them. It was almost like the smoke flavor they add to beans or the greens. I told waitress that they had been plated too early and she stated that probably so. She said they were under the heat lamp when she saw them . Timing is everything !
Have been to this location several times for both dine in and takeout. Always get fast and friendly service. The food is always fresh and delicious. The daily specials are a great value, especially when you consider what it cost to go to a fast food restaurant these days. Cracker Barrel gives you a home cooked meal and great service at a very fair price. If you try and like it, definitely down load the rewards app. It’s a great way to earn points, save money and order ahead for take out.
The food was excellent. There is no question that the service is the best in Athens, Georgia and that says a lot for the Team. Clair is one to the best Managers in the food service industry. Everyone including myself absolutely loves the nostalgic feeling when you walk in the doors to the Cracker Barrel and it is on the top of my list. I highly recommend the Country Fried Chicken Breast with Green Beans Dumplings Brown Gravy Biscuits Cornbread Jelly and the wonderful tasting Tea
