I've been a Credit Union ONE member for more than 12 years. I joined because there was a branch near my house but I've stayed a member because they've been transparent in all of our dealings. They beat ****** finance's best rate when we bought a car and they offered us the same interest rate on a mortgage with substantially lower origination fees than the best offer we could find from other local mortgage brokers. We have been members of Credit Union One for over 40 years. On November 26, 2025, we were victims of a documented financial-institution imposter scam. Criminals impersonated fraud representatives and induced us, through deception and urgency, to purchase gift cards totaling $11,000. This credit union was great for many years until I needed to use their mobile services, and online banking. One glitch on their part, which they did not record the account number from a check correctly, ended up in a fiasco of my account being canceled basically. They froze everything and would not let me access my account or even view it online nor mobile. When I called, they sent me to collections. Absolutely terrible customer service, zero accountability, unauthorized movement of funds and altered transaction dates. Fees charged with no receipt or proof. The surface is thin, a good lawyer would not have to dig very deep before finding enough discrepancies to file some class action lawsuits. Find a better financial institution. After being a member of Credit Union One for over 20 years, I will be closing all of our accounts. On a Saturday afternoon, my family experienced a tragedy, and we needed to admit three of our pets to a vet hospital.
