The best place to have breakfast in San Francisco's Lower Sunset. Favorite Dish: Here's a picture of it: "The New Orleans Benediction"; In this picture, there's a coffee and a bowl of fruit. This tasty dish cost me $16 (including tip).
Very good crepes. End of story. We went there on the Dec 30, 2003 for the first time. Ordered Milano and Tuscan. Milano is crepe with eggplant, garlic, tomato, cheese. Tuscan has chicken breast, mushroom, pesto. We substitute the mushroom with garlic though. Their portions were big, came with sauteed potatoes and salad. Very much satisfy the hungers. Crepes were very good. Potatoes were good. However the salad that came with the food was ok. Nothing exceptional. Also ordered spicy cornbread, came with spicy jelly. Was good. ... read more
Best Morning Omelette Ever! My first impression was that this place was pretty busy. The line to order for food was almost to the door and all the tables were full of people with either omelettes or crepes and there was carrot juice everywhere. After about 5 minutes, I had already ordered my food and sat at a table with my orange juice. When they brought me my Greek omelette, it was a large plate, half occupied by the omelette and a large side of parsley potatoes and sourdough toast. The greek omelette had spinach, broccoli,... read more
best breakfast in town Best omelettes and crepes in town. Huge portions. Further, it doesn't usually have long lines. Good coffee and juices.
Great salads and crepes Crepevine offers a varieties of soups, sandwiches (oh you gotta try the eggplant sandwiches!!!), ofcourse crepes, and drinks. Teas are served in pots so you can pour for yourself. The restaurant is packed all the time with students studying (near UCSF). Freshly squeezed carrot juice brings a plus to this otherwise common crepe and salad place.
fantastic carrot juice! they have THE best freshly squeezed carrot juice - but savory crepes are often too suggy and blend. salads are unnecessarily huge. Their sandwiches are pretty good not the best I've had though. It also gets pretty loud and busy during lunch - you can't hear yourself talk sometimes. Worth a visit but I think it's a bit overrated.
Absolutely Terrific! Excellent varieties of food ranging from pastas to soup & salads, and of course the savory and dessert crepes. Very good portions and the prices are good for your wallet as well. Can be busy at times, esp during lunch, but it is well worth the wait. and don't forget to grab your napkins and utensils before sitting down. Terrific place for breakfast or lunch. Pros + Inexpensive
Great Sandwiches & Good Music I have only tried their sandwiches and they were great because of avocado and fresh bread. The sandwich comes on a huge plate with a great tasting mixed salad with house dressing and grilled potatos. The ambience is good with Brazilian Samba music liveling things up. For $7 to $8 this is great place for little money. Pros + Food, Price, Music Cons - No Parking
Worth the visit Great lively place. Good food. Large servings. Its definately worth a visit
