I needed a structural engineer for removing a wall. The company was able to give me a written plan I could submit to city inspectors in a very timely manner. What I thought would be a huge puse in our remodel ended up going on without delay.
The engineering data provided enabled us to avoid costly errors and have a better basis for contractor interfacing. Additional items were brought to our attention we had not considered with this remodel. Crosstownâ  s engineer - Daniel - has saved us a lot of heartache and money with his knowledge and expert evaluation of our planned renovation.
The foundation company (Structured Foundations) we hired contracted Crosstown to evaluate their assessment of our houseâ s slab foundation. The engineer (I donâ t remember his name) was on time, thorough, personable, and seemed to give good advice about whether I would need to soak the edges where pylons are going to be installed (no, because of the quality of the retaining wall). Very easy to deal with and Daniel was very knowledgeable and helpful.
They were very professional and quickly completed my report as I paid extra to have it rushed.
They were responsive in getting the appointment setup and Daniel was right on time. Unfortunately, our situation was too complex (costly) to offer a viable solution to remove some columns but Daniel walked me through and explained the situation and reasons why and was disappointed that he had to deliver that bad news.
Great job of explaining what was happening with our foundation.
