Errors in the original estimate and following procedures kept raising the cost even when we got bigger and bigger discounts. Rafter work needed to be done and we knew we upfront we may incur extra costs so we gave the go-ahead to fix that--what else were we going to do at that point. The additional work seemed incredibly excessive.
