I put off getting my back surgery for a long time until I can no longer deal with the pain. When I visited Dr Birk for the first time it was obvious he was the surgeon for me. He was very informative and made me feel very comfortable with getting the procedure done. At no point was I nervous cause I new I was in good hands and he did an excellent job on my surgery

Dr Birk was professional and extremely knowledgeable from the beginning. He explained the procedure that was necessary and inevitable for my situation. He was energetic and motivated to be successful in the outcome of a long surgery. I would recommend Dr Birk to everyone. Trust is a MUST. I have this with Dr Birk. I saw Dr Birk as a new patient due to a back injury. He took his time in reviewing my medical history and explaining my radiology results. I left the office with a plan of care and understanding of what steps needed to be taken next for my recovery. His assistant Alyssa is very professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

Dr. Birk makes you feel at ease from the moment you walk into his office. He takes time to explain everything and answers all your questions. You are never rushed through your visit. We recently moved to SC. If I ever need surgery I will definitely come back up to NY to have DR. Birk do it.

I have nothing but Great things to say about Dr.Birk and his staff! He’s a very talented and caring surgeon. Always upbeat and putting us at ease every step of the way. He’s very thorough and his patient and his comfort is most important!
