Top notch! Dr. Daniel Birk performed my back surgery. He listened to my concerns, calmed my fears and took excellent care of me during my recovery. He is a top notch surgeon and I highly recommend him. He will not do surgery unless you need it!
Doctor helped me and my family very much
Dr. Birk spend over an hour answering all my questions. The appointment started exactly on time. He used a large TV on the wall to explain my MRI and my condition. During the appointment he personally called my primary doctor and my pain doctor. At the end of the visit, he wrote down his cell phone number and gave it to me. I must say this was the best experience I have had with a doctor on Long Island!
Dr. Birk is a great doctor. He has made very knowledgeable decisions based on my condition and surgery was a success. I am very happy to have been a patient and I am blessed to finally not have any pain. This surgery has given back my mobility and ability to continue things I have in the past. My only regret was not doing this surgery sooner. I have noticed my lower back is stronger now than it has ever been. Prior to surgery I was unable to bend, lift, or even walk. Now I am in the gym!

I just recently had back surgery and I was lucky enough to find Dr Birk. Besides being a great surgeon, he is a great, humble person. Caring and compassionate with excellent bedside manners. We never felt rushed in the office and he pays attention to detail. Everything that he said was going to happen, had happened.
