Dave's Hot Chicken set the standard for hot chicken in Fountain Valley. Service is fast, ambiance is clean and tidy when not super busy. If you've got smaller kiddos, get the 10 piece chicken nugget meal and split it! It's a great value!!

I've had Dave's multiple times at other locations and never had a complaint, but this was my first time at this location and I was extremely disappointed. The chicken severely lacked spices to the point where it was very bland. I usually get medium spice and at other locations, it's always a deep red color from all the spices unlike my experience here. The coleslaw also just tasted like I was eating plain kale and cabbage. No flavor at all. Will not be coming back to this location.
Never had slower service in my life. The guy in the front was the slowest worker ive ever seen. My food was literally sitting on the shelf for at least 10mins before he gave it to me.
I placed my order by 5:30, asking about on 5:50 and was told it was ready yet. Then had to wait till 6:20 and I started to notice the people that ordered around the same time as me already left. I asked again and was told " oh your order was ready by 5:40, did you not hear us when we called it out"? I said why did you tell me it wasn't ready when I asked earlier and they were like "oh if was a mistake" Also, I sitting right next to the register and I'm 100 percent sure that no one called my name.
