TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave's hot chicken was a staple in Los Angeles, I started going when they were a stand outside of a parking lot. I recently moved to Riverside and there is nothing out here that's better than Dave's even on a bad day. Dave's has the best hot chicken in the IE

Good chicken, but nothing special. The menu is fairly simple -- chicken and fries. The food is really tasty and fresh, but kind of expensive. We came late at night when they were having a promotion and it was really crowded. The service was still good and the line was moving rather quickly. The restaurant is cute, but really small. There were less than 10 tables and definitely not enough space for people to be waiting for their orders. Got a free slider today for Drake's birthday. The slider was delicious and spicy with the chicken, pickles and slaw intermingling nicely with the sauce for a unique sandwich. Added drops of honey to the chicken for a little touch of sweetness. Fries were crispy. Ask for extra sauce to dip the fries. Service was swift and friendly. The restaurant was fresh, bright and clean with indoor and outdoor seating. Will be making this a habit.
