TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I was ecstatic when I heard we were getting a Dave's in Charlotte. Frankly, it hasn't disappointed. I've been here a few times and every experience has been 5 ! Ordering is very simple. The menu is easy and they also have a app which makes it even easier. I get a tender and a slider with fries. I've tried all flavors except reaper. I get the tender hot usually and the slider extra hot. I think it is accurately flavored by the description so just know that when you order. Mmmm mmmm good. I chose the slider and tender combo with fries and I wouldn't change a thing. This is a full meal and more than a lunch portion. The slider is bigger than what I would expect for "slider-sized" - it's a full size sandwich. Service was friendly and my food didn't take too long.
