TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Pretty good chicken. Tried bot the sliders and tenders. They are very serious about HOT, I like spicy food and enjoyed the hot tenders but I don't think either of the hotter levels would leave much left to taste the chicken at all.

Dave's Hot Chicken wants to be the Cane's of hot chicken--all they do is tenders. We decided to give them a try and got a couple of combos with some medium and hot tenders with fries, a drink and a milkshake to go. The chicken is absolutely marvelous. I am a bit on the sensitive side and the medium was as hot as I can go. If you want it hotter they go up to "reaper". The tenders themselves are huge, the size of ordinary chicken breasts. Really love this place! My husband got the slider-- note: it's a FULL sandwich, not a mini one-- and I got the tender. The heat in the hot is a really nice warm sizzle, and the extra hot is similar but it compounds a bit which is nice. Fries are the perfect crispness and are seasoned sooo well. The staff is so friendly and the space is open and airy.

This is my second time ordering to go at this location. The service was good. The young lady at the register was polite and she made sure our order was correct. Lots of youth workers so cut these babies some slack if you are impatient. This isn't microwaved food & meals are cooked upon order! Food was hot & fresh! 15 minutes isn't a long wait. I'll be back!
