Overall pretty good. My college age son picked Dave's Hot Chicken for lunch so in fairness this is not the sort of spot I would normally choose. Menu is very limited, only fried options, no salad option. The Yelp directions are slightly off so be aware of that. very very tasty. sliders are awesome. its very busy we tried spice level hot. try this place atleast once
Dinner here was good. 2 meals and one drink cost me $30. Chicken is dusted, fried, dusted, fried. It's juicy and medium heat was pleasantly spicy. Bread buns were buttery and soft, nicely proportional to meat and accompaniments. It was good, but I don't think I'll have cravings drawing me back in for more. I can say I tried it. Meauh.
Great chicken sandwich's. Hot was the best flavor to get. The staff was very nice and friendly. The overal experience was very nice.
$49 for two meals and two milkshakes... absolutely ridiculous. And the food was gross. It was just powdery chicken. Would not eat again.

Terrible service, female employee started yelling at us rudely when there was barely any ambient volume from existing customers. When asked for student discount, she asked for two separate student IDs even though only one of us was ordering. This goes beyond being a piece of shit.

My husband and I ordered the slider and I got the nuggets. Both our orders were beyond salty. I have heard really good things about this place so I was looking forward to trying it. I'm not sure if ours were just way over seasoned by accident but unfortunately we couldn't eat it.

Staying in Austin for a business trip my husband is on and we decided to drive a little over an hour & a half to see what the hype was about because I've been wanting to try it for a while. Honest opinion: it was trash and not worth the drive. The bread sucked, the fries sucked, the cheese was cold, the chicken was alright but not as good as the pics at all. We went to Daves wanting some good chicken. The chicken was way to spicy(we had medium spice) and way too greasy. We could not eat the chicken and I had the immediate need for an alkaseltzer to prevent severe heart burn, luckily I had some in the car. I listed a complaint on their web page and they offered me a free meal . Second visit we got the no spice chicken. Still terrible and we did not finish a third of the meal.
