Best customer service! Omar especially, very kind and helpful with my friends and I being first time customers! I even saw them cleaning the windows and tables ??? I highly appreciate them cleaning for more customers to be comfortable in a clean area to eat. The food met up to my expectations - the spice levels were well evened out. Would come by again, happy grand opening to these guys!
The highly anticipated Dave's Hot Chicken is the latest new eatery in Rivermark Plaza, having put up the big DAVE'S HOT CHICKEN sign up months ago, teasing the community with excitement. Love the fact that they are open late (for Santa Clara standards) and they have an online order pickup window so you can avoid having to go indoors in a pinch. worst Dave's ever and I have eaten at plenty all over California. - ordered #2 hot and x-hot. It came without any labels on the two slider which is what - BLAND lukewarm fry's and why so stingy with them ? - had to double check the receipt that they indeed were hot and x-hot. It was more like mild and mild - hardly anything in the bun with the chicken tender - meat quality was questionable - no greeting, nothing.

Extremely over priced mediocre food with small portions. I ordered the buffalo hot Mac and Cheese and it was a 5/10 at best. Doesn't stand anywhere close to its competitors in terms of quality while following a trend of being extremely overpriced for no reason. Last time I checked they're serving chicken not STEAK so why is it so expensive and how do you mess up frying chicken. It's one of the easiest things to make good. Trash, would never recommend.

We come here pretty often because I love Dave's and this location is the closest to our house but the staff isn't so welcoming . We always see the short Mexican guy wearing all black late nights , assuming he's the manager . He never smiles or even seems like he wants to be there . ALWAYS has an attitude , I never want to ask him for anything cause once he gives us our order he turns his back to us . Never puts anything in the bag for us . I ordered 1 Large Dave's Sauce when picking up my online order.. I waited for over 15 minutes for them to hand me a cold container that I watched sit on the pickup window for about 5 minutes. By the time I got home my food was cold like the sauce First and last time ever going to this location. I should have gone to Angry Chickz instead.

Really bad service. On two separate occasions only half the order was delivered. Be very careful when ordering for delivery or even when picking up.

If I could leave zero stars I would. My boyfriend ordered the reaper level spice and signed a waiver. It was inedible but he knew the risks. But my order was for a mild slider with no pickles. Idk what happened but my slider was just as spicy as his reaper, and there were pickles in the slider and on the side. We ordered to go so it's too much to have to drive all the way back. Let me start by saying we like spicy food! We were new to Dave's so we asked the manager on duty about the spice levels and specifically the "hot." I told him I was hoping for like "buffalo" sauce. He very offhandedly said "oh it's not that hot at all." (His whole demeanor was blasé.) so we ordered hot. It was awful -- so hot as to not be enjoyable at all. I ruined my nails trying to peel off the crust, and we used napkins to try to pat/soak away some of the spice; we never could so we hardly ate any of the chicken. My issue... read more
