Waste of money,,simply disgusting. Absolutely no flavor at all. Way over prized. Basically chicken breast tenderloins dipped in flour and fried with no seasoning whatsoever so ever.

This place is the worst. I keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I have gone three times and each time they have messed up my order, usually by not giving some of the take out food I have ordered. Plus, they do not answer the phone so unless I drive all the way back I can't get a refund. Not worth literally wasting your money for mediocre chicken you don't even get.

WARNING; We went to Dave's Hot Chicken in Portsmouth, NH one month ago. Placed a pick up order through their website. The next day, we received notification that someone had just placed an order on our credit card at a Dave's Hot Chicken in San Bernardino, California. We immediately called the Portsmouth Dave's and were told bluntly, "Not our problem. Call your CC company." We called our CC company. I really wanted to like this place. I did like the "hot" on my chicken and the service was fast. to be honest Chicken, Bun and Cole Slaw were just average.

Horrible dry chicken. The young ladies upfront were too busy to bother. I was looking forward to trying the hot chicken. Fries were ok, the bread under the chicken was not good. I was excited when I opened up the box. I even took a picture of it! I was told not to go there but did I listen?! $15 bucks later. Sad. The restaurant was very clean. I'll give it that.

First start off with the good - place was clean and service was good. However for me the chicken was not good. Chicken was dry and had way too much dry rub to a point where it was like eating spicy sawdust. Also was expensive.

As an individual with a dairy allergy, I always check online for allergy information before going to a new restaurant. I was disappointed to not find any allergy information, but decided to go to Dave's anyway. I was very disappointed to learn from the nice wait staff that all the chicken contained dairy. A long trip for nothing. Most chain restaurants have this information online. I hope Dave's will do the same to provide better service to their customers.

Food was not hot. Expensive at $40 for 2 people at lunchtime. Fountain drinks were $3.49 each. Floors were sticky. Garbage overflowing, all of the tables were dirty with leftover crumbs and oil. Seemed more like a frat party going on with the 3 male employees. Will not return here.

It's basically Five Guys for chicken. Absurdly priced for what you get. Walk in expecting to wait 10-20 minutes to get your food. Probably longer at peak times, so order ahead.
