TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Overall it’s a good chicken place. We got take out and it wasn’t busy at all when we went so we didn’t have to wait for our food too long. The prices are a lil much but you defiantly get good portions, I couldn’t eat all of it. The sauce is not my favorite but the chicken is very flavorful and juicy. I got medium and my bf got hot. First time trying, the employee recommended ordering the #3 combo, which was 1 tender and 1 slider with fries. I got the medium flavor, it was tasty it had absolutely not heat to it, I thought it would have had a slight kick to it. The slider had a pickle and the most delicious kale slaw. The slaw paired well with flavor of the chicken. I personally would have preferred more of it on the sandwich. The slider was a large as a regular sized sandwich served at other places. I will come back and recommend giving them a try.
My son wanted to try this place. We stopped in Saturday around 1pm . We had to park about 3 blocks away. We entered, and there were 2 groups in line to order. There were no open tables because all 8 were full. If you've never been here, you might plan to grab it to go. Luckily, a table opened up while we waited. We ordered and received our cups. Dave's Hot chicken was a first time experience after relocating back here to Kansas City. It was a break from my norm, but I have to say I was impressed. I had the HOT and didn't try to be brave beyond that! You have different SPICY 🔥🥵 Levels to choose. My son braved the EXTRA HOT 🥵 and let's just say he claimed he was full, but I think it was the spice that got him to take the remaining home 🔥 to try later 🤷🏾♂️😆 I would honestly recommend this place and enjoy the experience whatever spice level you choose.
Huge chicken strips with amazing flavor. Cool staff I went with the 1 slider and 1 Tender! Extra hot is just that 🔥🔥🔥
