TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Second day open! Right when you walk in the staff greets you with a smile! Bri helped me and recommended I get the #3 to try the tenders and sliders. I got the medium spice and it was perfect. My boyfriend got the hot, and it was a little spicer than anticipated. The slaw on the sliders is delicious! I'm not usually a slaw person, but it really pairs perfect with the chicken! Opening day! Surprisingly fast, informative and ultra courteous service and great atmosphere. Chicken was great... crunchy and super tender and great portions! Management, being at the front for opening day was incredibly friendly and courteous. You've gotta try it!

Food was delivered quickly and efficiently while fresh, but it wasn't spicy in the slightest. The restaurant looked cool but the food itself was extremely disappointing. You can't call yourselves "Dave's Hot Chicken" and have a medium level heat be not spicy whatsoever. I would MUCH rather go to other spicy chicken places like Mother Clucker who consistently deliver.

Staff were rude and uninterested in helping. The sandwich was well below the Dave's standard I have had at all other locations. Super disappointing because the restaurant looks so awesome on the outside.
