TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I had my first Dave's Hot Chicken today. I had the single slider medium heat with slaw, pickle and cheese, fries, and a side of mac and cheese for our table to share. I loved it! Enough heat to make my nose run but not make tears in my eyes. The seasoning on the crispy fries is yummy. The Mac and cheese is very creamy, a good thing to eat if your tongue is on fire. This is my first time trying this place. I like the vibes inside with the paintings on the wall. The chicken was cooked well, and the price was right for the size we got compared to other places. The sauce could be a little better.

considering only 5 menu items you'd think they could move fast like canes would. older guy who took our order didn't know how to use the POS system and we waited around 45 mins for our name to be called only for our food to be cold. overall the taste was decent and the store looks cool and modern.
