TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Well having tried hot chicken in Nashville, I was looking for a hot chicken fix and Dave's came up on the Yelp radar. It is located in a relatively new strip with plenty of parking. We were greeted cheerfully by January. It is a walk up counter. The menu is small but it is great that they focus on their primary item Hot Chicken. So there are strip baskets, slider strip sandwiches and fries topped with Dave's hot chicken and their signature sauce. Viviana greeted me and was overall the sweetest gave me a run down as well. I loved the food :) 10/10 the staff was so sweet
