The food was okay, not outstanding flavor(s). My partner and I ordered via the drive thru which took 30 (yes...30) minutes to go through with only 2 people ahead of us. It was very slow service and the drive through person was not friendly. We weren't amazed and wouldn't go out of our way for it.
Business response:

Good chicken with a drive thru option, but not quite fast food. Located in the same mini mall as the Dollar Tree and Burger King, Dave's Hot Chicken has a convenient drive thru, great for someone whose dog likes to ride along to everything. I ordered the combo that included a slider (hot) and fries. I also ordered a strawberry shake for my husband. The slider was good. I liked the kale slaw. The heat level was good, enough to heat up my lips. There was a slight sweetness to it, not sure if it was in the rub or from the sl... read more

As someone who's experienced Dave's on the west coast you couldn't imagine my hype when they announced they would be in Tampa. Typically when businesses branch out across the country the experience is not as memorable in my experience. Not this visit though !! Dave's is still just as great as I remember it. The chicken is brined and fried to perfection and you get that savory sweet spice mix that Nashville is known for. I'm currently salivating writing this review so that is your sign to get Dave's asap. Ps their fries are a... read more

Malaysijah in drive thru tonight is the exact reason AI and robots are taking over, she could not have failed any harder. She's going to struggle out in the real world.... Bc damn. Our food order was the hardest thing she has ever had to do in life it seemed and then we got our food (part someone else's order / part our order and totally fucked it up). Let's get into it; We are at the speaker - I order 10 boneless towing buffalo. She couldn't understand this. She seemed I spoke Chinese - I wasn't, I'm Russian but American... read more
