Dave's Hot Chicken recently opened up, so when looking for some lunch the outside design immediately stood out to me. The inside had a great vibe, there was a great crowd and the designs in the inside walls is very true to Tampa. We ordered the Chicken Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries. The server asked if we wanted it "Hot". I thought to myself, "This is Dave's Hot Chicken, not Dave's Mild Chicken". So, I stayed true and went with hot. This chicken spot is a nicer fast food experience. They have a drive through and inside option but we opted to eat inside which had a nice mural. The chicken was really juicy and fried perfectly, we ordered "hot" and it definitely lived up to the name, next time I would probably order "medium" cause it was a little too spicy for me but it was definitely delicious. They also give you honey and Dave's sauce which both complement the chicken perfectly. I didn't try the sandwich but my fiancé said it was great also.

The food was okay, not outstanding flavor(s). My partner and I ordered via the drive thru which took 30 (yes...30) minutes to go through with only 2 people ahead of us. It was very slow service and the drive through person was not friendly. We weren't amazed and wouldn't go out of our way for it.
