I'm truly conflicted on how to rate this specific Dave's Hot Chicken establishment. I live in San Diego and I'm currently in Redding visiting family so I haven't been to the Redding Dave's Hot. However I go to Dave's Hot Chicken on a consistent basis down in San Diego so I know what to expect when I go there. The big gripe I have with this place is the wait time. They ended up giving me a voucher for a meal and I came in there just because I was nearby already hungry so I gave them another chance food was only about 9 min wait, was fresh good and spice wasn't nearly as crazy makes me think I got pranked the first time hahah, anyways shout out to you guys for changing my mind. The loaded fries are amazing

Food was great, atmosphere was cool and service was good. My wife even really liked the food and she usually doesn't do chicken. She did the loaded fries. I did the hot chicken slider's. The spice level was perfect. I don't get the people complaining about the heat. If you go to a hot chicken place, don't complain about the heat. They gave me honey which was actually really good on the slider. We will definitely be back.

Well I really wanted to like this spot and even went out of the way to try and eat there the first day google said they were open. After driving in the rain we were happy to see it was open and it wasn't crowded. When we got to the door it was locked and there were some folks inside.We wound up getting turned away and it was only 7:00 pm and they said it was a soft opening. No problem, We came back today and it was busy but not so much that I would walk.. Here is the best I can say. Prepare for extra time to get in and out ... read more

Ordered online and everyone who ordered after me in the store got their food first. This has happened a few times now, took almost 30 minutes to get my food.

Genuinely and sincerely don't waste your money here. If you want to know why go ahead and read. Walked in 7:53 with nobody in line and only one couple waiting for food, place my order, nothing huge just a #3 with Mac instead and a fry on the side.
