Nothing compares to Hattie B's in Nashville so maybe my expectations were too high. I got the 2 tender basket - one hot and one extra hot. The spice was there but the chicken on the drier side. The fries were crisp but not much flavor. I didn't love the sauce that came with it and wish there was a ranch option. My Mac and cheese and kale slaw on the side were great additions though. At least the manager was super nice and came up to me and offered ice cream to wash it down!

Kiara was such a sweetheart and had such an amazing energy when i walked in :) My order had everything and tasted great too. (hopefully i got her name right!!) Wait was a bit long so i recommend ordering before but i dont mind waiting cause they had good music in the restaurant.

First time at a "Dave's". I understand this is one of the fastest growing chains in America and it must be pretty good, because it was busy! The counter service was outstanding. The young lady was friendly, organized and....well, if I owned a business, I'd want her to work for me. They have a very limited menu. The sliders were SO GOOD I think I may have blacked out whilst eating. I had Dave's hot chicken for the first time in LA, then again in Charlotte, NC. Every time I've had Dave's, the food and service has been consistently exceptional. The fries are perfectly crispy and the chicken has never felt small or greasy. The Dave's sauce pairs perfectly with the fries and the sliders. I highly HIGHLY recommend Dave's!

Dave's Hot Chicken opened this year in River North and it is the perfect addition! The sliders are so good paired with the Mac & cheese and fries as a side. I love that their hot is actually pretty spicy and their sauce is delicious. Love the milkshakes too! Staff was super friendly and very laid back ambiance.

Brittney was incredible. My fiancée can't read very well & Brittney walked us through all the options (since we were Dave's Hot Chicken virgins). I went the #3 and you should too. I'm looking forward to having these kind people in our neighborhood... welcome to River North, Dave.

Best chicken sandwich I've ever had! Cashier was very polite and made sure I knew what all my options were. Restaurant was clean and bright and they had Stevie Ray Vaughan playing on the speakers. Looking forward to coming back soon!
