My first time having Dave's hot chicken. I love how new the plaza and building is. I was surprised to see a long wait, with about seven or so parties ahead of me. I would say it took about 30 minutes until I got to the cashier. Once I placed my order, it took about 15 minutes or so to get my food. The fried chicken sandwich was amazing, much better than any other fast food spot that I know of. The fries were OK, a little soggy/soft for my liking I would recommend and would come back.

Not impressed by the hype. We waited over 30 minutes for our food and it was meh at best. Could have gone down the street to Chik-fil-a and gotten a better sandwich faster.

Gave Dave's a try today and was not disappointed. The chicken came out extremely fresh, juicy, and tasty. I tried the Medium and it was plenty of spice (just warm, not hot) with great flavor. I often judge chicken places on the slaw, and the kale slaw did not disappoint. Fries were mediocre, but then again, I really did not go there to fill up on potatoes. We came here for our son's birthday weekend and it's definitely an experience. We ordered and waited about 30-40 minutes for the food (4 meals). The food does come out super fresh and it's pretty high quality chicken. We all got the medium which has a great flavor. It's heavy on the chili/paprika flavor, this is a West Coast chain so it's not the Louisiana spicy chicken we're used to, still really good just different. The food was amazing as Dave's usually is. The inside was decorated in a lovely artistic way. The staff needed a little help organizing and communicating with the crowd of patrons. It was a bit chaotic which lead to the wait time being a bit long. I understand they just opened up within the last month so hopefully they can work the kinks out soon.

I understand that this place just opened so there's some grace with having to wait. However my food was not hot so I don't understand what the long wait was for. I got the mild chicken as I didn't want too much spicy, despite not being hot there was a crunch to it and the chicken tenders were a nice size. The real deal! Food was delicious, came out quick, and the staff was so friendly. The reaper level is NOT a gimmick, get one of those killer shakes if you're gonna attempt it.

The tender-sliders are huge and very good. I got them "hot" and I also got one tender, reaper level, just to try it. Both are very good, but I liked the hot better. My only complaint is the dining room experience. It's cramped, hectic. It definitely made me a believer in ordering online for pickup next time. Take the advice, just use their app.
