For my wedding, we have several out of town bridesmaids, so to make it easier for all of them, we decided to purchase bridesmaids dresses at David's, despite me having a bad experience with them years ago. I found the staff to be pleasant, but trying to help too many people at once, leaving myself to mainly be the one to go get dresses, different sizes, etc.We ultimately decided on the dresses we wanted & orders were placed. Every time I have gone into David’s Bridal, Amherst, NY Location just to browse, my experience has been very uncomfortable. I had to chase down and employee just to ask a question, and had to navigate my way through the fitting room and find my own room with no one to help me. I have had numerous problems with David's Bridal throughout my planning process. First they lost my appointment to try on bridesmaid dresses and said they could 'fit me in.' I shouldn't have needed to be fit in since I made the appt. Second, the wrong size was ordered for one of my girls and since she doesn't even live close to a David's Bridal she had to make the long drive twice due to their error. Then came the invitations. 1. The store I went to did not have the sale-priced color dress I wanted so they had one shipped from a store in California. The dress came in with ripped seams, torn tulle, and ripped and missing hooks on the inside of the dress. It was torn in about 6 different places. When I took it to my store, they said every single store in the Nation was sold out of my size in that color (the sale-priced color). Going through David's Bridal has been the worst mistake I have ever made. They not only screwed up my dress (bride) but two of my bridesmaids got the wrong size dress. After they re-ordered them and made us drive the dresses back and forth we found out 2 weeks before the wedding they were still the wrong size!!! They have been so rude throughout this entire process. I would not recommend going through them unless you want to have more work and more stress!!

Do not go to Davids Bridal! My experience was horrible. First of all all of the employees were very rude! This is the first place I tried on dresses, although my mom loved a ball gown I tried on I said a hundred times I wanted a mermaid. My consultant tried so hard to get me to purchase the ball gown she didn't listen to what I wanted at all. I didn't know what I wanted, and I've never tried on a wedding dress. My budget was 2000$, and so my sister made the appt for me. The sales lady was 30 min delayed due to an appointment that went over. I was absolutally ok with the fact that another bride was getting a dress, so I waited for her. However, when she and the manager came up to me, they gave me 15 minutes to try on dresses. I tried on two dresses, I explained what I wanted, "I did not want my breasts hanging out." David's Bridal did not have my dress size in the store and they ordered it on line and had it shipped to my home; when it arrived it was 4 sizes to small, they will not exchange it in the store, I have to pay for shipping charges to send it back to them, plus I have to pay for another dress in the correct size that is being shipped to the store - there is no way I will ever go to this store again. The David's Bridal worker should have made it clear about what their exchange/return policy was before I made my purchase.
