It was a perfect location for checking out the Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, and surrounding area. We saw plenty of deer and wild turkeys walking around. Very clean. Peaceful. My mistake was not noticing the lack of wifi, which inconvenienced some of my fellow travelers. The cell signal was strong.
This was an excellent home to stay in for an extended family vacation. The house is well equipped, especially the kitchen which surprised me with higher-end cookware and utensils. The grill was fantastic! There was plenty of room for our entire family to spread out and no one felt cramped or crowded during the stay. The only thing missing was a fire pit or some sort of outdoor space to hang out to play games. Great place for our family vacation!
Great house for three couples, currently installing 2nd bathroom which will make it a great place to stay.
A great space for larger groups. An interesting mix of old cabin with newer additions. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Game room and hot tub were hits with our group
The best-stocked kitchen I have ever seen! Plenty of dishes, pots and pans, utensils, and a great pantry. We had everything we needed to cook meals. The house was stocked with bath towels, beds were a little hard, but at the end of the day we were too tired to notice. It is a lovely cabin inside and out and I would highly recommend anyone staying there. You won't be disappointed. We would rent again in a heartbeat. We were only 1/8 mile from Terry Peak Lodge. Accurate depiction of space. Nice location and accessible even in moderate levels of snow! Alpine Retreat was nicely stocked and pleasantly clean. One downside was beds were not comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace immensely! EVERYTHING else was GREAT!!
Great space, location, and communication with our host
Lovely cabin that was surrounded by wildflowers when we visited in mid-August. Great location for visiting Mount Rushmore, Devils Tower and Deadwood. Very quiet and peaceful at night.
