I have always had excellent screenings and care from Dr. Anderson. Today was no exception!! Receptionists are always helpful and thorough. Nurses have been extremely courteous and helpful.
Doc Anderson is knowledgeable, thorough, careful and friendly. He takes his time and make sure he examines all the targeted areas. I have confidence in his assessments and his treatments
I had a sq. cell carcinoma in my ear (& from a previous plastic surgery procedure by another Dr. and location, cartilage sticking out of the back of my ear). Dr Cook, my Dermatologist (same clinic), got me in to see Dr. Shaffer very quickly due to my history of skin cancer. He was everything she said he was - - very skilled, friendly and caring. He did a terrific job - - can't say enough about him and the entire staff there.
Dr. Shaffer does outstanding work! I would highly recommend him to anyone for MOHS Surgery...both for the quality of his work and his attentiveness to the patient experience.
Dr Cook is the most caring & skilled dermatologist that I've ever had (I have seen several). I sent my wife & daughter to see her and they agree. When a sudden growth appears and you feel it looks suspicious, she will do whatever she can to get you in as soon as possible. The techs here are excellent as well (eg Kelly & Tricia). Also unlike other derm offices, the staff here does an excellent job with the bandaging & instructions regarding surgical procedures & are very friendly.
Of course I was anxious about having the melanoma removed from my face, and I was even a little vain about the scar that I expected. From the moment Dr. Shaffer came into the room he put me (and my wife) at ease with his wonderful personality, and he also explained the procedure, the need for it, and his expected outcome, in a thoroughly professional manner. Once he started the procedure he kept me calm while explaining everything he was doing for my wife. Couldn't have been better!
Dr. Cook is great, I have really enjoyed my appointments with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Shaffer performed Mohs surgery on a very noticeable spot on my face. He not only did an amazing job, he was kind and explained every part of the procedure and recovery. I was very apprehensive, not only because of the cancer, but the permanent scar that I imagined. Imagined, it was! After only two weeks you can barely see a thing. I would highly recommend Dr. Shaffer and his team.
