Dr. Caughman, Mel, Karen, Aaron, Brandee, and Elaine are positively the most wonderful veterinary staff in Georgia! Dr. Caughman is so smart, and he can even relay less than positive news in a caring and loving way. Our mostly black lab is 11 years old. She was recently diagnosed with diabetes. It has altered her life and our lives hugely, but with the help of this outstanding staff, it appears that our precious dog is getting a new lease on her "senior dog" life! We absolutely love Dogwood. The employees are so incredibly kind, patient and loving. They take the best care of their clients (new and long-term). Every time I call, they are courteous and informative. We do not worry about our dog when she is there and that is priceless!
Love, love, love the staff at Dogwood Animal Hospital! They are gentle with my dogs and cats and Dr Caughman is a smart and understanding veterinarian. I feel that my fur babies receive top notch compassionate care!
My family has been raising Pekingnese for years. We love and cherish these amazing animals and I can't imagine letting anyone other than Dr. Caughman take care of them. He and his staff are always caring and concerned in my opinion. They really take the time to explain what exactly is going on, what the best course of treatment should be, and all of this is done in a loving manner. Dr. Caughman is indeed our "Family's Other Doctor"!!!!

I have been a client of Dogwood Animal Hospital for many years and have received wonderful care. Dr. Caughman is compassionate, capable and caring. He and his staff have always been responsive to our needs and I would recommend this clinic to anyone seeking top notch care for their pets.
My little boy was sick right before Memorial weekend. We called around many places, but this vet had the soonest appointment. When we went there, they confirmed how serious his condition was. But there was a lack of education or information offered about what or how this was happening to him. This vet places priority over money rather than animals. I can't even talk about it so many reasons. So many reasons. It's pitiful what they did to me. no stars I will give more informatiand another time. I'm just so disgusted right now. I can't even talk about it.
A major pro of this practice is how they handle end of life for a pet. I brought my dog in to be put down and they all displayed so much compassion. I felt incredibly valued during that experience. Then it all went downhill. The woman who answers the phone seems to hate her job and everyone she encounters. Why she's client-facing is beyond me.
