Food tasted good but seemed as though they were having trouble in the kitchen (whether short staffed or another issue) and not communicative about the issue. Brought one main course out but not the remaining items for over 15 mins and only after asking someone did the food arrive another 5 mins later . By then the first dish was cold. They apologized for the delay but nothing else. Would have been nice if there was more communication and an effort to compensate in a small way. Music was at a good level and has a nice variety... read more

Business response:

Poonam, we truly appreciate your thoughtful feedback — and you’re absolutely right. Communication is key, and we dropped the ball that night. While we’re thrilled you enjoyed the flavors and the vibe, we know the service hiccup made your visit less than perfect. The team is already working to make sure next time, your experience is as seamless as the playlist.

The food was great; however, the service was subpar! The restaurant needs to work on their service!

Business response:

Nilesh, thank you for the honest words — great food is what we always aim for, but service should match the flavor! We’re working with the team to fine-tune our hospitality and make sure your next visit delivers the full DTA experience — both on the plate and at the table.

The food is average. Service is quite slow. We got our drinks after we had finished food.

Business response:

Oof, sounds like the timing of your meal needed less drama and more dhamaal. We’re so sorry your drinks were fashionably late to the party—that’s not the kind of suspense we aim for. We’ll keep working on our pace so your food and your cocktails vibe together like a perfectly matched chutney duo. Hope we get another chance to show you what we can do, Aunty-style.

The Kale Chaat was excellent and original. The Butter Chicken, and Garlic Naan were very good. The two "fusion" items we tried sounded better on paper than what we were served - the Kothu Bolognese was overly dense due to the use of shredded bread instead of noodles, and the flavors weren't very distinct. The Rasam Ramen seemed more like spaghetti in a spicy tomato soup base. It was OK at best. Not reminiscent of Ramen at all. I think it's great that they're trying to mix things up, but the recipes aren't all there yet. That... read more

Business response:

Thanks for giving our kale chaat the gold star it deserves, Peter—we’re blushing (but still crunchy). You caught us in our fusion mischief! While we love pushing boundaries, we hear you loud and clear: some mashups still need a little extra masala. Feedback like yours helps us dial up the flavor and fine-tune the funk. Next time, we’d love to have you back to try more of our traditional hits—we promise not everything comes with a plot twist.

Don't Tell Aunty in Boston isn't just a restaurant; it's a vibrant, pulsating celebration of modern Indian cuisine that will make you want to shout its praises from the rooftops (but maybe, you know, don't tell aunty). From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in an atmosphere that's both chic and welcoming. The décor is a masterclass in cool, with a vibrant energy that sets the stage for the... read more

Business response:

"Steven, we’re still recovering from the flavor explosion your review set off in our hearts! Seriously, your words were such a ride—we went from blushing at the chili oil comparison to fist-pumping over your take on the vibe, the food, and the energy we pour into every plate. It’s rare to find someone who not only experiences the full DTA journey but captures it so eloquently—we felt seen, and Aunty’s definitely a little suspicious now. We’re thrilled the flavors danced for you, that the space felt alive, and that our team m... read more

They had a playful menu with standard Indian American fare and some off beat fusion dishes. The okra fries with tamarind chutney were amazing. Lively ambiance, but my group of four could easily carry on conversation over the music and din.

Business response:

Seth, okra fries and fusion fun? You get us. We’re all about bold flavor and lively energy—with just enough space for conversation and a second round of drinks. Thanks for the love!

Beautiful interior, and we loved the food! Would be a great place for trendy dinner, night out, birthday, or a date!

Business response:

Andrea, now that’s the kind of dinner endorsement we love. Whether it's a birthday bash or a cheeky date night, we've got the mood and the masala ready.
