Follow-up to my previous review: I am a long-time grooming client of Dove Mountain Veterinary and my standard poodle had a grooming appointment at Dove Mountain Vet. at 3:30 pm on Friday, February 16. I have never had any issues with the grooming or service I have received in the past. Dove Mountain Vet has no interest in keeping your pet healthy. They have absolutely no compassion and will refuse to make the slightest accommodation to make sure your pet stays healthy. They have demonstrated their lack of concern for my dogs well-being twice now and by their demeanor could care less. We will never go here again.
I love the Vet, but the service is horrible. I am shocked and shaking after the day with the front office. My dog is older and has hip issues and we sent a request last night to get a prescription for Gabepentine in addition to his daily Galiprant. After 3 email and phone conversations with the front desk, she said she cannot promise to get this done, its a 24-28 hour return time on prescriptions, which I asked, "even for a dog in pain, a non-routine prescription? so expensive, takes forever (2 hrs) to be seen and the rooms are FREEZING. I'm not convinced they care about the cost or my dog. They are professional.
Bad experience at Dove Mountain Veterinary. Our little Yorkie (Sissy) had become very lethargic and had quit eating. DMV told me to bring her in as an urgent care patient. I explained that she had similar symptoms a few months before and was treated at an emergency hospital for what turned out to be some small rocks she had ingested. I have made 3 separate/different occasions, attempts to get my sick and injured small dog in to be evaluated and treated and all 3 times I was told there were no available Urgent care appointments even though I called early morning. Even though I expressed my dogs illness, dehydration and constant vomiting, I was turned away. As I do understand being booked, but with a severe illness or emergency, accommodations should be made at all costs. Too expensive. Feels like they are all about money not pets. My dog has valley fever plus pneumonia. She got pneumonia since Dec. One drug did work but of course have to keep coming back for office visits and x-rays. Now dr doesn't call back. Staff lies stating doctor was not in however the other staff states doctor was at lunch. Of course no call back being waiting for two days.. Will be going to another vet that actually cares about pets well being.
we waited more than 8 hours outside to see an emergency vet in the middle of a snowy time ... they kept telling user were next ... after 8 hours we were told it could be at least 7 more hours ! we left without our dog being seen we went to our regular vet the next day ... I would never think of going there again in an emergency or not ! so rude as we were not even allowed to go in to use the bathroom !
At first, 2 years ago, I thought this place was great! The Vet, Dr. Neuman was very friendly. Little did I know, she didn't have a clue... When I brought my weimaraner in with "bloat", instead of sending me immediately to an emergency vet hospital (because they don't have overnight care?)
