Do NOT take your Pet here. They cannot be trusted. They head nod and say no worries - no worries. Sure, absolutely. Should we worry if - it's our second time there and we have to leave our emergency and contact information AGAIN ? DMV - Yeah sorry bout that but seems our file isn't complete. No worries - guess the first time they had no file on us after completing. DMV - No worries and we got it now. In an emergency yes, otherwise no. I'm extremely disappointed in my visit yesterday. They did amazing with social distancing and also were very kind. My problem is with pricing. I have a dog that needed a dental and three teeth looked pretty bad on the top front. I agreed to a blood draw and was given a quote of $518-$948.80 for a teeth cleaning (minus the $90.25 for the blood draw.). The thought of possibly paying almost a $1,000 for a teeth cleaning is truly amazing. I just could stomach the "what if," that's the bil... read more

There isn't a score low enough....Avoid Dove Mt Veterinarian clinic! Pressured me to not trust my breeder and get repeat vaccines that my kitten just had and didn't needed including the dangerous rabies VACCINE two months after my 5 month kitten just had one! Told me the vaccine record was "faked" and claimed that the original vet "couldn't clarify if a vet gave them or not and to not to trust my breeder" made me pay for another fecal and fecal vaccine after kitten had just been tested two weeks before and was negative! Took my 1 year old fur baby because he was limping. After Dr Gamez looked and did xrays it was determined he needed a brace as he had two fractures and acl tare. The look of the X-ray showed it was fresh and just happened The next day they call me to tell me the X-ray was read by the tech and it was not a fresh break but old and it was no acl tare. And they didn't think the brace was going to help any. Suggested I see the surgeon to see if he needed pins for the fractures and tares. 400 dollars later. A week goes by and ... read more

Very disappointed with Dr. Carpenter at Dove Mountain Vet. I brought my cat in for a pre-dental visit. Blood was drawn and I was told Dr. Carpenter would call me to discuss the results. Dr. Carpenter never called and I got the "brush-off" from the receptionist 3 times when I called to follow-up. Needless to say - I cancelled the scheduled dental and will be going to a more professional veterinarian.

I was visiting from out of town when my dog developed a weird rash on his back, I was happy that the vet was able to take me same day. I got there and the vet looked at my dog and they were very nice and they gave me antibiotics for what they believed was an infection. I asked them if I could get the written prescription instead and fill it at my personal Pharmacy. They said that was fine and gave me the written prescription. I took the prescription to my Pharmacy to get it filled, my Pharmacy had to call the vet to process ... read more

This was a very poorly run facility by the staff. Essentially everyone I interacted with came off as very rude and the treatment of my dog was poor. I had my little baby groomed and she came back looking horrible! Avoid this place at all costs.

I went in recently for a boarding quote and was disheartened by the confusion the reception staff seemed to show. I don't know if the poor girl was new or training but she seems to be so anxious to speak with me. Almost as if the darling froze! I was trying to inquire about the small kennels and possibly putting two pets in the large. I couldn't really get a straight price. Was a client at Twin Peaks Veterinary and needed boarding but they weren't equipped to take large dogs, and so they recommended their sister clinic, Dove Mountain. I took the facilities tour a month prior to when I needed the reservation and met with the young man who would be caring for my dog and cat. He showed me both areas for the dogs and cats, and I felt comfortable making the reservation.
