My guinea pig (James Franco) and I could not have had a better experience with Dripping Springs. From start to finish the staff was helpful in providing me with all the necessary information and paperwork for my pigs stay at critter camp. It is hard to find a place that boards exotics for long periods of time and I am glad that I was recommended this location. As for the care, James had a fantastic time during his extended stay. I had a great experience here. Our dog Angie and I were promptly greeted and escorted right into the exam room. No wait at all. Angie was right at home and feeling comfortable very quickly. The staff at this facility were all as pleasant as they could possibly be and the price for her treatment was very reasonable. I will use them from now on!
I have trusted my dog to Dr. Shuman for years now and even though his office is a far drive for us, it's worth it! He answers all of my paranoid questions and puts me at ease every time. My dog doesn't like the vet because of some bad experiences with Other places, but she loves seeing Dr. Shuman.
Our 12 year old Lhasa Apso Julia had been having really bad eye problems. Her eyes were dry and crusty and just really gross. Julia was miserable and sleeping all day, bumping into things day and night in a lot of distress. We took her to see Dr. Shuman and he was so good with her. Normally our dog is extra squeamish at the vet, but he did an amazing job talking to her and making her feel calm even through the eye tests she had to go through. We sought out Dr. Shuman for an urgent 2nd opinion of a mysterious lump on our 8 year old boxer. Our boxer had been seen at a different vet that very morning after having no appetite, being lethargic, tremors and vomiting but the lump was completely overlooked. This didn't sit well with me and Dr. Shuman shared my concern and phoned me back several times and even asked for videos of our dog's symptoms so that he could move quickly in diagnosing. Went in today with my 14 year old cat. She had general symptoms of weight loss and personality change. Initially they said they might do X-rays and blood work. Instead the doctor weighed my cat , felt her stomach and said she felt a mass . She confirmed the diagnosis with another doctor and then gave me the choice of two treatments- chemo, X-ray, Etc., or an oral medication. Brought my two small dogs in for dental cleaning. One needed 13 teeth pulled, both went under anesthesia and are doing well. This is a wonderful facility. Love the staff and new doc!!! Very sweet, caring and gentle. Took lots of time to explain everything.
My childhood cat and dog were under Dr. Hudson's care for many years. My cat definitely had 9+ lives. He somehow made it out alive of many fights w/ raccoons and coyotes and various other tight spots. He survived w/ the help of Dripping Springs Animal Hospital, and during his long recoveries, they actually let him roam around the office. They recognized his personality was suited for that. Absolutely excellent care and service. I can't say enough positive things about Dr Hudson and his staff. Even after moving 20 miles away, we continued to bring our dogs to DSAH rather than finding a local vet because we were so happy with them. Dr H and the other vets in his practice are down to earth, informative, and always took the time to visit with my dog, provide lots of information, and answer all questions.
